Choosing the Right Font

Choosing the right font for your bencher is a delicate balance between personality and readability.  While it can often be fun to choose a font that is funky or different, when choosing a Hebrew font, remember that when reading prayers it is important to ensure that the fonts are simple to read and do not distract from the sense of concentration.  If you have a specific font that you would like to use, please let us know and we’ll do our best to find your font.  Alternatively we have put together a sheet of Hebrew font styles that work fairly well.   Click here to open the file in it’s full size.

Please note that these Hebrew fonts are meant primarily for setting up the text.  Covers, invitations and logos which don’t use Nikud are much more flexible and we have a wider variety of fonts to choose from.

English fonts should match in style to the Hebrew fonts, so when choosing a more modern Hebrew font, often a Sans-Serif font works best for the English.  Similarly, Serif fonts often fit together stylistically with the more traditional Hebrew fonts.
